As unstoppable as ever, hurricane M.I.A. continues to gain converts after her successful winter tour. Since she burst onto the music scene in 2003 with her eclectic clash of world sounds, Baltimore hip-hop, electropop and political attitude, Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam has become a key figure in musical art, design and contemporary fashion. Recordings label, M.I.A. constantly scans the musical underground in search of new talent, and on the way she has discovered names like Rye Rye, Blaqstarr, Sleigh Bells and NguzuNguzu.
