Munchi’s tireless work as a producer has made him the king of moombahton, one of the youngest sounds to emerge from the American underground. From his studio in Rotterdam, he mixes his Latin roots with a musical interest that crosses all frontiers, and which takes in kuduro, cumbia, slices of a capella, Caribbean riddims, upfront dirty south and everything else he takes a fancy to. With that sort of approach, it is no surprise that MIA and Diplo took an interest in his skills and invited him to work and play with them. Something strong and fresh to stimulate the appetite before M.I.A. (his special guest on "Murda Sound").
