A unique cultural phenomenon direct from the streets of Soweto. A musical style and a dance anchored in tradition but revived through the perspective of technology: the musical legacy of the Tsonga Shangaan people, reinterpreted using electronic instruments and an aesthetic halfway between surreal and magic. Rhythms at breakneck speed (over 180 BPM), processed voices and MIDI percussion to take the skills of the scene's most excellent dancers to the limit. The show features the movement's leading figures: the stars of the eponymous compilation that the label Honest Jon’s released in 2010, to make the rest of the planet aware of the phenomenon: the producer and vocalist Nozinja, accompanied by the marvellous DJ Spoko and of course by the Tshetsha Boys masked dancers.
