Sónar returns to Japan on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of April for the 4th edition of SonarSound Tokyo

Sónar returns to Japan in 2011, five years after its last visit, for the 4th SonarSound Tokio on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of April.

 

The festival is preparing the arrival of more than 20 artists of the highest level.

 

This fourth SonarSound Tokyo will take place at ageHa, aka Studio Coast.

 

The first SonarSound Tokyo took place in 2002, with performances by Soul Center, Fumiya Tanaka, Hiroshi Watanabe, Dj Kentaro, Ángel Molina and Fibla, among others, as well as parallel activities like the SonarSound Symposium & SonarSound Lecture.

 

The second event was held in 2004 with Sketch Show + Ryuichi Sakamoto, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Towa Tei, Akufen and Chicks On Speed, as well as the SonarSound Cinema and the Technology Showcase exhibition.

 

The 3rd event took place in 2006 with De La Soul, DJ Krush, DJ Hell, Señor Coconut, Diplo, Nobukazu Takemura, Angel Molina, Guillamino and Dj 2d2 + Griffi, among many others; as well as the lecture by Jeff Mills on ‘Concept Music’ and the photography exhibition ‘Post(Digi)Graphy’.
